Ooof my lovelies. So many things. (I feel like I may kinda shoot myself in the foot with the first one, as it's something I would like to explore, BUT it's not like tropes or ideas can only be used once, right? Besides, it takes me ages to write something, and in the meantime new fic with this pairing is just lovely full stop.)
❖ Talking about religion. What his Faith means to Cullen (if he still has Faith at all.) And/or: There certainly are aspects about Andraste and the Maker that some parties tried to erase from the books, and I would be interested in Dorian using that knowledge/his Tevinter perspective in ways that make it easier for Cullen to accept his feelings/overcome residual shame. (And I don't mean that in the way of wanting Cullen to be a stammering innocent mess; he's not naïve. I mean—you know how it is, you can be absolutely aware logically that there's nothing wrong with what you want, and yet. And yet. I suppose it's more about... finding out that your religion secretly does have a place for you? And feeling how that makes something shift inside you?)
❖ Early on in their friendship (pre-slash? UST?? *waves hand around*): Going for a sparring match where Dorian naturally promises not to use any magic, and proves to be much better at hand-to-hand combat than Cullen expected.
❖ Five Times (feel free to add "... and one time he didn't/and one time it was the other way around" if that works for you) • Dorian surprises Cullen (doesn't have to be literal surprise gifts) • Cullen makes Dorian speechless (even if it's just for a moment or two) • Dorian makes Cullen blush or stumble over his words • Cullen looks out for Dorian (be that by secretly pulling some strings, or openly having his back) • Companions comment on their obvious attraction (at a time when they are still denying it)
❖ Idk how you feel about NSFW prompts, all I can say is that I have encountered too little fic with a bottoming Cullen.
I... I think that's enough? I hope that one of those is suitable for you. And even if I didn't offer something you can see yourself writing, I still appreciate that we can talk about it!
