Intro Sticky Post
ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Tec!
I'm a genderfluid queer person, my pronouns are she/they (no particular preference as to which), and I'm in my mid-30s. I have two dogs, creatively referred to as Dog 1 and Dog 2 when posting, and sometimes I write fanfiction. I also make a decent number of icons and sometimes other graphics, with the occasional fanart peppered in for flavor. I have a rotating list of active fandoms, and I tend to hop between them with little to no pattern or forethought.
Aside from historical fiction (and history in general), my main interests include bees, hockey, gardening, music, poetry, and games—video, board, and/or those of the tabletop role-playing variety.
On this blog, you can expect to find fanfiction and other creative works, previews of works in progress, reflections on my daily life (what I'm doing, what I'm reading, dog updates, thoughts about faith, family, varying queer topics, etc.), book reviews and reading lists, music recs, stuff about bees and other pollinators, and the occasional recipe.
FRIENDING POLICY
I generally subscribe back to anyone who subscribes to me, and I'm happy to grant access to anyone who wants it, with the caveat that I reserve the right to revoke it at any time for any reason.
SHARING & COMMENTING POLICY
I welcome comments on any post you're able to read, and try to get back to them in a timely fashion (although sometimes I'm not the best about that). Likewise, you're welcome to share/link back to any posts that aren't access-locked, though I ask that if you do so the post is appropriately credited.
TRANSFORMATIVE WORKS POLICY
I offer blanket permission for transformative works based on my own works and welcome fanart, remixes, sequels, podfic, translations, etc. My only requirements are that my works—or works that are direct transformative works of my own—not be used for anything commercial and that it not be reposted to other sites or shared to aggregate sites like Goodreads. I would also love a note if you do happen to create a transformative work, so I can cheer you on!
FANDOMS
I'm fairly indiscriminate when it comes to fandoms. Basically, anything that makes me go "I want to see what happens to this character before/after the canon" or "I wonder what happened between this event and that event" will catch my attention. I don't actively write in all the fandoms I have listed, but you're welcome to chat with me about any of them or make requests of them on the occasions I'm offering prompt fills, etc.
I'm currently most active in the various HBO War fandoms (Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Generation Kill, and Masters of the Air [whenever it comes out]), as well as Peacemaker, and Kidnapped—both the Robert Louis Stevenson book and the delightful National Theatre of Scotland production.
OTHER ACCOUNTS & MISCELLANY
I run a community for fans of the HBO War series, which you can find on Dreamwidth (
heavyartillery) or over on Discord. It's 18+ and operates under the "you're kink is not my kink and that's okay" mindset. If that's not to your taste, I recommend not joining.
