I was really taken in by all the imagery of this fae creature wearing Nix’s face to tempt Dick into staying, but something about the relative innocence of an ice cream cone paralleled against that seductive intent struck me super hard.

Thank you! I’m really pleased with how it came out, haha. I’ve been doodling Dick all afternoon and for some reason I’m finding his facial features much more difficult to capture. xD

Drawing Damian Lewis' face is the bane of my existence. I have never once gotten it right, haha. I ended up giving up and making a stylized version of him. I stylized Nix for a while, too, and drew him like, super cute and even more baby-faced than he already is. It was great.

He straight up has the weirdest features. Like, if you lay them down in a list, it sounds like he should be kind of hideous but in reality they only make him more attractive. It makes me furious, haha.

I need to figure out some way to get him on lock, but I don't much like my chances, haha. And yes stylizing! And baby-faced Nix!!!

This is how I ended up doing Dick's face. So kind of him, and kind of not him, lol. I don't have any good examples of Nix on hand, but I promise he's adorable when I can get him down pat.

I love the way you decided to go with your caricature, friend. He's so darling, and a merman! Mer-creatures (and any kind of supernatural whatsis, really) are absolutely my jam. I love his pretty red fins~ So fetching against the ginger hair!!!

Would this be a bad time to mention that I have an entire mer!Nix story plotted that I desperately want to write once I'm finished with vampire!Dick?

Thanks! I was originally saving that picture for a merman!Dick AU fic I was going to write, but it never really grabbed me.

Nice! Yeah, there used to be a fair number of BoB artists, but not so much anymore. There was...drama, and a lot of people left. Don't know any of the new people.
