Feeling the longing for Savannah today like an actual, physical pain. Had a nice, subtle cry in my cube listening to this. The Allen Stone cover is excellent, too.

ETA: muccamukk mentioned the Willie Nelson version in the comments so I looked it up and as it's also a total jam, I wanted to link it, too. Here you go! *cries about Georgia some more*

The biggest fight in our family is my dad partisening the Ray Charles cover, and my stenning Willie Nelson.

I confess to never having heard the Willie Nelson version, though I'm sure it's good. Willie usually is.

The Ray Charles one is very dear to my heart, and I'd never heard the Allen Stone version until today, but that one is particularly poignant because I first learned about Allen Stone while living in Savannah, Georgia during a time of my life that I'd consider as being the happiest so far, despite the usual ups-and-downs.

Allen Stone's going to be in Vancouver March 27th. Won't catch it, but that is a lovely cover.
