Travel hopefully in life.

I have to say, it is really tremendously nice to see my team climbing the standings, especially on the hard work and perseverance of my favorite player. (And it sure didn't hurt that it was on Jets home ice, nyah nyah.)

It's obvious that everyone is working hard, not just Garland, but I'm so delighted to see that he not only earned himself a steady roster spot with his showing last season when our entire team was on IR, but that he's only getting better now that he's running around throwing elbows with dudes who have a solid 2-4 inches minimum on him, for the most part. He's three goals for the season and it's still really early so it would be utterly foolish to count hens, so to speak, but we were a measly two points from Cup playoffs last year and it's not impossible that we could make a solid run once we gain some traction.

The boys are working hard for it, anyway, and I'm certainly going to enjoy watching them do it.

It's a damn shame the Yotes aren't out here until February, of all godforsaken months, but I'll be there in my jersey screaming my head off so loud that adults are uncomfortable having children in the same row as me, like always. I think Mom and I are going to try and catch a Stars game while she's in town. It's against the Senators so it's probably going to be a bloodbath but it should be pretty fun, anyway.

We're playing the Preds on Thursday so I hope she's prepared to be up until probably eleven or so while I shriek like a monster and argue nonsensically with the refs on TV.
