Dream a little dream...
I generally have vivid dreams, even if they're short and interspersed between frequent rounds of waking up and falling back asleep. Last night, I had a dream exchange that my subconscious brain apparently found so hilarious that I woke myself up laughing. I'm still laughing about it this morning, even though I suspect it's nowhere near as funny as I think it is, so I figured I'd share it here, just in case it is actually worth a giggle.
I was in some kind of very relaxed business meeting with four or five other people (imaginary dream folks rather than anyone I recognized from real life), all of us dressed fairly casually and all of us queer. We were arguing about whether a cisgender straight guy that all of us knew could be considered an honorary lesbian or not, and I petitioned that he should be allowed on the grounds of a lunch hang we'd had the day before. I distinctly remember, in the dream, thinking that I needed to make it sound like the most lesbian date I possibly could, and my dream-self described it thusly, emphasis and asides by the peanut gallery included:
Me: "He ordered a gyro and coffee."
Dream Person: "Together?"
Me: "I had a tabbouleh salad with feta—it was not good."
Dream Person: (un-surprised) "Of course it wasn't."
Me: "And then we went back to my placed and watched the second Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron movie."
Dream Person: "You don't even know what it's called!"
Which was apparently enough to rouse me with a fit of the giggles. Not sure why, but it was a very pleasant way to wake up at a little after one am when I'd just gotten to sleep an hour or two before, so I'll take it. xD
