Me, reading China Marine and discovering that just before departing Okinawa, Sledge contracted blood poisoning: Well...there's that handled.

Yesss, disaster Nix is fave Nix. And I totally understand, even though I have been beating the same drum for 5+ years myself, lol.

If the fills weren't all for the same meme I'd happily let them all be rooted in the whole "Nix drinks a lot and stuff gets fucked" camp, lol. But I know that at least one of them from the column I'm currently working through is directly related to Nix being a drunken disaster, and there's so much room in the row I'm going to try to cross with it after that I don't want to box myself in too early.

At first I read that as "Nix drinks a lot and gets fucked" and I was like WOW OKAY, lol. That's a whole story in itself...maybe not a happy one though.

But yes, I would probably do an entire column of Nix angst if I wasn't inspired to write origfic and try some other fandoms this time around.

Lol it could go both ways right? There's probably a quality V-E Day celebration fic in that concept somewhere where Nix is fully brined off of whatever seized Nazi booze he prefers and decides to show Dick his appreciation by making a thoroughly sloppy but deeply charming move on him. ;P

I feel like I have too short an attention span to focus so intently on one character when it's all similar themes, but then my main weakness has always been that I'm a giant sucker for an ensemble cast. xD Or, for trying my hand at different character voices, anyway.

Also I love your origfic and I'm super glad you're writing it~
